What a gem I didn’t know these existed till YouTube I saw it had to get this machines my kids lovveee it so do I I know summer it will be lit lol right now we use 1 refill every other day and it fills within 7to nine minutes super fast ice is great just like sonic etc. Love It Grateful we eat on this ice all day my daughter literally sit by the Frigidaire and eat ice she like it so much the kids fill their water bottles for school and it’s great worth every penny save me sonic stops. Luxury high quality sound is bearable light Ice drops and cuts on off when not full can stop the sound by not adding water when ice is full or turning ice off if u don’t want to hear the machine at night. I have it in my living room with my Avalon water machine 2 great additions super excited to have these 2. Yess Ice is Great Better Than Sonic I actually can chew this ice. Gem

Bought one of these for my mom back in 2023. Loved this little machine, and it worked great for 14 months. It suddenly stopped working to our dismay. Thankfully I had done the extended Asurion warranty and within 15 minutes I had my money refunded and had a new one ordered. I recieved the new one January 25th, but was unable to open and use it until the beginning of March due to unforseen work travel. The new machine does not work straight out of the box and my Amazon return window closed 5 days prior. I contacted Fridgidaire, who informed me they do not know anything about the ice maker, I need to contact a company called Curtis. After contacting Curtis, they told me to try and return to Amazon, AFTER I had already stated my return window was closed. Now they have come back and want me to ship this 30+ lb ice maker (more accurately a brick since it doesnt work...) back to them on my dime. This is going to cost me a small fortune for a product that was DOA. I really loved the first ice maker, but this is totally bad faith by Fridgidaire who has their shiney name on this product but will not stand behind it. I was going to give 2 stars, really loved the first machine... but it died after 14 months, so I supposed it wasn't so great either. I never leave bad reviews, always manage to find the positives even when something is not quite what I hoped for. Buyer beware with this product, you may get a good one, but its a crap shoot !

If you need an ice maker or just want one, this is a great one! The nugget ice is exactly like the east to chew ice from fast food joints such as Sonic and Chick-fil-A. The ice maker is easy to use. Fill detachable tank with water, reattach by simply putting it back in place, and clicking the ice button.It is a bit tall so it will stick out on a kitchen countertop. I put mine in the living room that serves as a dry bar so now we have ice there too! It can be slightly noisy as it makes ice but it’s not bad. Makes ice relatively quickly. First batch in about 15 minutes.My wife loves it. She crunches on ice all the time and this kind is much easier on her teeth.

I own the GE Profile Opal 2.0 w/ side tank. It makes fabulous ice. However, it is a pain to operate (whomever designed the controls needs to go back to school), clean, and every odd cycle, the motor will seize and make a horrible screeching noise. In short, the quality of the Opal 2.0 is poor. When it works just right, the ice it produces is amazing. But, I'm positive it will fail long before it should and at ~$600, that's a lot to pay for poor quality.I purchased the Frigidaire EFIC237 Countertop Crunchy Chewable Nugget Ice Maker as a gift for a vacation home where I frequently stay. Right out of the box, it was pure simplicity. Intuitive controls, pretty quiet (it is an ice maker, so it will make noise), and quickly (faster than Opal 2.0) makes a lot of good ice. The ice is not quite as soft as the Opal 2.0. However, for $329, it's a quality machine that makes good crunchy ice. I'd recommend this machine. Wish the GE Opal 2.0 would redesign their machine to operate like the Frigidaire.

Quickly makes a large zip lock full of ice and the ice doesn't melt immediately. Good small nugget size for drinks and i have used it everyday for 1.5 months so far.

Ni tengo esta maquina por tres meses y agua empezo a salir por el parte abajo de la maquina. Tengo agua en todo mi cocina. Sace todo el agua, limpie bien la maquina pero sigue tirando agua.
