This blade is simply amazing. I was looking for a good blade to use in my table saw to cut down laminate. I have been using it on 12mm laminate for a couple of weeks now and it cuts straight and without chips. Every Freud blade I purchase ends up being the best I've ever used. (FYI - for cutting straight cuts on a mitre saw, go to Harbor freight and get their 60T carbide tipped blade. $16 w/ %20 off coupon and gets you through 1000sq. ft. before it starts to dull). Hope this helps. I spent tne extra cash on the freud to make straight lenghwise cuts for stair treds.

After purchasing cheaper blades (all advertised for laminate cutting) from Lowes and Ace Hardware, we finally decided to spend the money and get this Freud. Wow, this blade has held up with beautiful cuts and no chipping while the others dulled quickly. Spend the money on this blade and you will do yourself a favor by avoiding a frustrating and expensive lesson. Thanks a bunch to other reviewers.

A very good blade for laminates, haven't had any tear out or chipping with it all. There are several versions of this blade type for sale by freud, I'm not sure of the differences but this was a good price and does a great job!

Seldom do I get something that does exactly what the advertising claims. For example, the Forrest Chopmaster was not the be-all and end-all of miter saw blades - certainly did not outperform the Dewalt 80T blade (at half the price) it replaced. But I digress....This blade makes perfectly chip-free cuts through melamine particle board and birch or maple veneer plywood - exactly as advertised. It doesn't rip through them like the blade I use with hardwoods, but then that blade makes a total mess of melamine in particular. If you are working with laminates or veneer plywood, this will give you a perfectly finished edge on your cut. Who could ask for more? Me - I want a dado stack with these on the outside....
