Efectivamente es granito, tiene unas rayas en el interior del mortero para facilitar a la hora de moler, me encanto y lo recomiendo

I've already used this multiple times and can't believe with how much I cook I've never had one before. It's a perfect size and large enough to make dips, guacamole, etc. High quality and heavy! As with any mortar and pestle, don't forget to "season" it before use though!

Se lo compre para un hermano qué gusta por esos tipos de morteros en mi estado lo conocemos también como molcajetes y la verdad es que esta muy bien hecho con buenos acabados y bastante sólido lo recomiendo 100%

I am so happy I made this purchase! I've always used other means to crush and grind my herbs, and it wasn't that much of a big deal... But I came across this ad and looking at the other prices For the other granite mortar and pestle's this Add intrigued me the most... Very beautiful craftsmanship And for comparing the prices and the size of this item which seems to be the best deal I could find there Are many for a good price but none I seen for this price for this size. Not every ad gives you a good idea of how big it is... so my photo I will demonstrate to give the customers a good idea!! because I highly recommend getting this item! So far it's done an incredible job and I highly recommend this Specific mortar And pastel! It's very thick and strong so it be very hard to damage it

I read reviews that said their Black Granite Mortar &Pestle arrived broken. Well a sale prompted me to purchase it anyway. And I'm Glad I took a chance, because this is Beautiful and Sturdy and exactly what I wanted.The outside is shiny and polished and the inside is rough, as is needed to grind items. The size is just right. 7 inch diameter is quite big enough when the item is this heavy! Lol!By the way, this was Packaged Impeccably, in that it was Triple Boxed and Bubble Wrapped. Unless someone drops this from very high up or drops it on tile or concrete, it will not break! It's Solid Granite!Now this is my comment so far... If something goes wrong I'll update this review at the time. But I sincerely doubt I'll have to make any changes to my review!I will also add, You Must Season /Condition the Mortar & Pestle! I believe crushing dry rice several times will get it ready for use. But do your research and precisely follow directions for the type of stone/material in which your mortar and pestle are derived.An item like this is an investment. I haven't always had one. This is a very useful in the kitchen. I'm looking forward to enjoying this for decades.

I received mine and was pretty surprised at the very large (good) size of the bowl. Its on the heavy side but it makes it really sturdy when you are working with it. I seasoned with Rice and water overnight and let it soak then rinsing it through until the water was super clear. My first usage was pink salt and a bunch of herbs (rosemary, thyme) It worked great! super easy to use and the grit was super strong; I didn't really have to put much energy into it. (grinded it all down to a consistent powder in a good 8min) The colour is really beautiful as well... fits in perfectly with my kitchen. beautiful counter piece to leave out as well.

This is a fantastic piece. I was a little anxious about it, but am pleased with the purchase. It's my only M&P, and is a good size for blending seasonings for meals, pills that needs to be powdered and hidden in food, etc.It is granite. That means the interior is a little rough, which helps with grinding stuff. Hmm, that's what it's made for! Cool.That also means the bottom is a little rough. You'll either want to hold this in your hands while you use it (quite heavy), or put a good mat under it if you are using it on a surface you don't want scratched.I would have liked the pestle to be a little longer, but it works fine. My wife thinks it's pretty enough to sit on the mantle in the kitchen.
