I've purchased three different stabilizers and this is by far the most adaptable and easy to use. Instructions weren't included, but YouTube of course provided ten great options and none was necessary. The FLYCAM adapts onto the vest and arm I recently purchased and also works well as a stand alone. Balancing is simple, the rod is adjustable in length and weights (included) are easy to add to the bottom plate.One difference between equipment is not high-quality, well thought out, and equipment like this--that IS, are the standardized sizes that allow for adding non-proprietary equipment and adapting this equipment to work with other, off-brand stuff. In photo/video, 1/4" and 3/8" UNC are almost universal on tripods and mounts--and this steady device features plenty.Another feature I like, that wasn't available on the less expensive Neewer model, is a sliding collar on the handle that allows for adjustment up or down the primary balancing rod. Used as a stand-alone steadiam, I've found a handle position closer to the camera plate is best--but adapting this into a very inexpensive attempt at an Arri Trinity favors positioning the handle mid-shaft and more balanced.The camera plate features horizontal and verticle worm threads for making adjustments to the camera's position. This comes in handy when changing lenses, accessories, or doing about anything that would otherwise throw off the balance. On less expensive models this feature doesn't exist and that requires a whole lot of manual adjust--test--adjust--test...it takes a whole lot of time.I'm relatively new to this industry, but already the difference between quality, and 'good enough' is becoming obvious. I dare not venture into the top notch professional equipment that lives at price points beyond what I can or should reasonably consider--but in the prosumer range, this is an impressive piece of equipment.I'm shooting still with a Nikon D810 and probably going to get a D750 back-up, and video with a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera--no matter what lens I use on either of the aformentioned bodies, this handles them well. It's amazing how such a simple device improves the quality of video, and sometimes when shooting run and gun stills at events or otherwise I've started using this with success.I can't speak to the durability since I've only had this for a couple of weeks--but I suspect, based on the 'feel' of it--there won't be any issues.

Kurzes Review:Ich habe die Flycam Redking jetzt schon seit 2 Monaten und bin sehr zufrieden:Die Flycam selbst ist wie eine Glidecam, nur um ein vielfaches günstiger.Ich benutze eine Kamera, die zwei Kilo wiegt und habe somit 6 Gegengewicht Platten dran.Perfekt Ausgeglichen steht das absolut fest in der Luft.Sie besteht aus sehr robusten, hochwertigen Material und ist echt stabil. Ich habe sie bis jetzt schon bei vielen Videos oder Projekten benutzt und komme inzwischen sehr gut mit ihr klar.Also eine absolute Empfehlung für Menschen, die smoothe Videos möchten!Langes Review, bzw. Technische Daten:Die Flycam kommt in einer extra Tasche. Die Tasche mit allem wiegt 5,5Kilogramm.Die Flycam selbst wiegt ohne Gegengewicht Platten 1,7 Kilo.Der Stabilisator besteht aus der eigentlichen Stange, dem Fuß, wo die Gewichte drauf kommen, und dem Kopf, den man mit zwei zusätzlichen Schrauben anschrauben muss. Das ist leider ein Nachteil, weil es sehr lange dauert, bis man die kleinen Schrauben in die Löscher reingefriemelt bekommt. Deswegen ist das etwas unpraktisch, das ding oft auseinander zu nehmen und zusammen zu bauen. Deswegen transportiere ich meistens den Stabilisator so mit mir und baue ihn nicht extra auseinander.Der Kopf des Stabilisators besitzt noch zwei Feinabstimmregler, um Millimeter genau die Kamera von der Position her anzupassen. Darüber haben wir eine Schnellwechselplatte mit zwei Schrauben zur Auswahl. Eine ¼ und eine 3/8 Schraube. Die Flycam kommt mit unglaublichen 16 Gegengewicht Platten die zusammen 1,5 Kilo haben. Die Mindestbelastbarkeit liegt bei 600g, und die Maximale Belastbarkeit bei 7 Kilogramm.Ich kann die Flycam Redking nur empfehlen, da man für einen verhältnismäßig günstigen Preis eine sehr gute, hochwertige "Glidecam" bekommt, die für sehr smoothe, steady Shots sorgt!Ich habe ein YouTube Video zu dieser Flycam gemacht. El producto viene muy bien empaquetado, con buena calidad de materiales. Lo devolví porque no es exactamente lo que busco. La relación en todo momento con la empresa fue rápida y fluida. Me hicieron la devolución sin problema.

Sono un videomaker professionista che occupandosi al 90% di corporate video ho quasi sempre fatto a meno di stabilizzatori di questo tipo... Grave errore! Mi sono orientato su questa tipologia meccanica e non quella elettronica (tipo Ronin) per la semplicità di utilizzo e la possibilità di montare un microfono direzionale per riprese audio dirette (cosa poco fattibile con dispositivi elettronici per la mancanza di spazio sopra la slitta o per la brevità del cavo audio qualora il mic sia fissato sui vari tralicci).Ammetto di aver preso prima di questo modello la versione HD 3000 ma non mi ci sono trovato bene e ho deciso per la restituzione del prodotto e per un investimento un po' superiore comprando la Redking. Anche senza il manuale, l'assemblaggio è stato semplicissimo e ho bilanciato la mia canon 5d con microfono in pochissimo tempo. Il vantaggio della Redking a mio parere rimane la possibilità di condivisione della piastra ad attacco rapido (mod 501) per teste fluide manfrotto; in questo modo stabilizzo la Redking e memorizzo il valore numerico della posizione della piastra, poi se serve la estraggo e la colloco direttamente nel treppiede per altri tipi di movimenti/riprese. I movimenti macchina con la Redking sono morbidi e piacevoli anche senza vest (e senza essere campioni di culturismo!!!). La possibilità di spostare lungo l'asta verticale la maniglia di sostegno offre innumerevoli varianti di utilizzo ma alla fine ci si abitua con due valori, uno per macchina in alto e uno per macchina rovesciata e riprese molto basse a raso terra. Il suo grip è ottimo anche per accompagnare lente panoramiche e per girare la macchina fotografica inseguendo il vostro soggetto. Infine la microregolazione del bilanciamento tramite due grandi pomelli è indispensabile e rapida (molto più rapida di quella sulla HD3000). Unica pecca forse è che nel mio caso ho dovuto spostare tutto il peso verso sinistra, praticamente terminando la corsa della vite. Se questo fosse un problema è facilmente risolvibile aggiungendo un piccolo piombo piatto tipo quelli per bilanciare i pneumatici e appendendolo nell'asola porta cinghia di sinistra.Il venditore Sharan della Movofilms è una persona gentilissima e molto disponibile ad assistervi per consigli o problemi sul prodotto!Per domande, rimango a disposizione nell'apposita sezione. This may be a near carbon copy of Glidecam's Devin Graham Signature but at less than half the price it's a beautiful addition to any independant filmmaker's arsenal. I've been working with a few difference handheld stabilisers and shoulder mounts before and this is a fantastic addition to that arsenal. As someone who has shot live events before it may very well replace them all. The balancing is smooth and almost effortless and it's very easy to configure a proper "drop time" with the friction lock movable gimbals. The construction feels sleek and very sturdy. High grade aluminium and anodised markings, including the marked position numbers for the gimball. The weights are very dense and I found I only needed 3 on each side to properly balance my Canon 5D3 (even less for a Canon Rebel or smaller mirrorless camera). Barely even extended the telescopic portion of the pole. I've also had the opportunity to utilise this on larger camera setups (SONY FS7) and balancing only required one extra set of weights and I could easily accomplish the rest with the telescopic pole and adjustable gimbal. It was quite the chore to handhold the rig, and could manage only short takes, but served very well for camera movements while substituting (though not necessarily replacing) jibs, cranes and dollies. The newly designed quick release tripod plate fits my manfrotto tripods and even just makes the stabiliser easier to store and transport. Simply slide off the camera and slide it back on. The tripod plate has numbered markings of it's own so you can properly align the plate where you last balanced the system. Don't be discouraged if your shots don't turn out the smoothest at first. The system responds to movement very easily and you always have to be compensating the system to maintain a perfect horizon line (note that camera sway is much more noticeable when shooting landscapes, when you can see the horizon). It takes a lot of practice but luckily there's a lot of good folks who have made easy to follow tutorials, include the glidecam maestro, Stefan Czech (check him out!).
