This is not a bad WDT tool, but it feels a little cheap because its body is primarily made of plastic. When the needles are deployed––by pressing the top button—the internal, sliding weight pushes out stainless steel wire needles, which usually gives this tool a good, solid "snn-ick" sound that signifies a well-designed tool. The wires are pushed through their individually assigned guide holes; which are ANGLED outwards, and create a little friction that can slow the full deployment of the needles. There are only 6 needles; but they are trying to fully extend themselves (with the help of gravity & an internal weight), and at the same time are simultaneously being bent and splayed outward through those angled guide holes. For best results, this tool must be held as close to vertical as possible when pressing the release button. It's not a major problem if the needles occasionally pop out only partially, though. Just give the tool a slight flick to shake the needles out to get them fully deployed; or, give it a slightly different flick to RETRACT all the needles, and start over. With its simple, included stand, this product is handy, quite inexpensive, and kind of fun to play with.

I have another type of product like this and it was not that great because i could never find it. Luckily this has a base to stand it up next to my espresso machine as well as a magnet to stick to the side. I honestly love the retractable pins. So far this works great for what i need.

This is a decent distribution tool. I got it for traveling. The way this works is that you push the button and tines come out. They are not as dense as the type that sit on the counter. The distributor works well enough, you just have to stir a bit more, so it costs you a extra second or two. To close them up, you just tip the tine end up and they slide back into the case securely. That's a nice touch. The stand works well, but the magnet to hold it to a wall (or fridge) is not strong enough to hold it very securely. It stays up, but if bumped even slightly, it clatters to the ground.Overall, this tool is effective but has a couple design choices that could be better.

This espresso distribution tool is a great addition to my home espresso bar. I love that it comes with the magnet that can be added onto the tool to enable it to be stored on the side of the espresso machine or even on the fridge or other magnetic place. I put mine on the side of my machine for easy storage that is convenient for me to grab and use when I am making a shot or cappuccino. It comes with extra needles in case the original ones break, which is a thoughtful touch. I have not had any issues with it and it seems to function as it should, it is a little confusing how to get the needles in and out at first but once you figure it out then it’s not an issue

This review is for the Bincoo retractable espresso distribution tool. Several weeks ago I ordered a Bincoo espresso tamping station and have been adding the various pink accessories since then. The set overall is nice because it coordinates with my kitchen, and this espresso distribution tool is a great, new addition. I have a smaller espresso maker, so it is nice to use this distribution tool to even out my typically uneven pour into the tamper. It is nice that it is retractable as well, so you don't need an odd storage space for the needles. I look forward to ordering more Bincoo tools.
