This made for a wonderful gift for my wife. She thinks they are absolutely beautiful and has wanted some pieces from this collection for a while. They are well made with great craftsmanship. The artwork is nicely done and looks much better in person.

This set includes enough plates for a four person dining table. The quality of the porcelain used is above average. It’s not thin, fragile, or weak; on the contrary, it’s sturdy and feels high quality when held. The designs on it look as if they were taken from a piece of art, truly delightful. I can even say it has changed the ambiance of my kitchen.

These are really pretty. The details on the bird plates are really impressive. The set is heavy and seems well made. We mostly use these as decorative pieces but we ran them through the washer once and they held up fine. With the recesses in the designs I could see these being somewhat impractical for everyday use as cleaning could be difficult. For special occasions or just as a display they really are stunning though.

I love the soft colors and the bird and butterfly designs. The dinner plates and bowls have a somewhat floral abstract impression. The bowls are solid pale blue, and the plates are white, bordered in the blue. There is an adorable little floral imprint in the center of the plates.The bowls are nice and deep, and hold a lot.I took off one star because these are not the the Fitz and Floyd of old. The quality is just not the same.The dishes say "hand painted" but the birds and butterflies are transfers. There are simply some handpainted elements on the salad plates, and maybe the wash of blue on the other pieces as well.The glaze is inconsistent, and they do not feel "heirloom quality". They feel as though they are brittle and easily chipped or broken.I will also say that you don’t get any coffee mugs or cups with this set, which is a little unusual when you buy a set of dishes. So, I think the price point is a little high for what you’re getting.But, as far as having a pretty set of dishes, they certainly are, and I will enjoy them as long as they last!
