Mantenimiento de la batería:
Retira siempre el paquete de batería de tu herramienta cuando estés montando piezas, haciendo ajustes, limpiando o cuando no se utilice durante un tiempo prolongado. Si no planeas usar la batería Power Tool durante un mes o más, guárdala en un lugar limpio, seco y fresco lejos del calor y objetos metálicos. Las baterías Ni-Cd, Ni-MH y Li-ion se autodescargan durante el almacenamiento; recuerde recargar las baterías antes de usarlas. No deje la batería inactiva durante largos períodos de tiempo. Recomendamos utilizar la batería al menos una vez cada dos o tres semanas.

I bought the 2 pack of Dewalt 18 volt batteries for my specific model. They are tight fitting and very difficult to remove. I then tried to plug them into the charger. Again they were hard to insert but extremely difficult to remove. They also didn’t make a connection to the contacts so it wouldn’t charge. Please watch the reviews to save yourself some trouble. I’m returning these batteries today.

Excellent after sale support. They communicated and replaced one of the battery went bad. This is my second purchased with this product, the first one lasted for awhile.

Old dewalt batteries couldn’t hold a charge- I rarely used and always kept charged and off the drill. After about a few years they were garbage.How frustrating is it when you go to need your drill and it peters out after 5 sec of drilling?These new ones work flawlessly and charge on old dewalt charger

My 11yr old DEWALT drill 18v D9098 batteries died on me one fine day. Since the exact replacement model is no longer available and I didn’t want to buy a new drill set (20v now) and not be able to use the working drill or charger, found this alternative. First glance, this fits perfectly in the drill and has all the power. Works quite well and seems more powered than the original Ni-Cd. This is NiMH version, so charging should be faster and charge shd hold longer. However, the battery is a slight misfit in original DEWALT charger that came with the D9098 battery back. The new battery still fits and gets charged but removing it from the charger is a bit of effort. Since I don’t use the drill that frequently, decided to keep the product (hence deducting one star). Overall, product looks and works well.

My original review: Even after full recharge, battery voltage is not high enough to run Dewalt 18v XPS drill at full speed. Battery life is poor. After a full charge, with no use the battery is discharged after about a week. These are essentially worthless.My updated review: The manufacturer quickly contacted me to offer a replacement or refund, and suggested that I fully cycle the battery once or twice to see if performance improves. I'm a not a handyman and don't use my drill very often, but after recharging the battery a couple times I did use it over a weekend and the battery performed very well. I used it for two full days, not continuously, but did a lot of drilling and driving screws, and some cutting with a Dewalt 18v circular saw. The tool speeds were great, the voltage maintained torque, and one battery lasted the entire two days without recharge.Five stars! I am fully satisfied with these batteries and am glad I took the advice from the manufacturer. The batteries are a very good value. Kudos to the manufacturer for quickly addressing my concerns and for following up with me.
