My nephew is left-handed and may have been ignored by former teachers the correct way to hold a pencil. I purchased these in hope that it would correct his grip. So far he is doing well and seem to be writing and gripping way better. It has definitely made a huge difference and it's been less than a month of usage.

Perfect look and feel. Have a left-handed 6 year that was having trouble writing. To help her maintain hand posture was recommended a grip for pencils. Needed something cute and comfortable that fits tiny hands, to motivate consistent use. She totally loves these butterfly looking grips, her favorite the pink and green.

To quote my child, “Yessss! I can finally do it now! I can write!”Yes, these lefty grips really do work. My young lefty writer had been struggling to maintain proper hand and finger position, and it had become an anxious, hyperventilating, tearful struggle with Mom every time the his grip was corrected. But once we tried these, his comfort and confidence were IMMEDIATE! I still help get the fingers positioned, but now my child enjoys learning to write.NOTE: We have also tried the Firesara universal trigger-style elephant grips, but we prefer these lefty specific ones. The elephant ones are great for ages 1-4 in my opinion, and the larger hole ones in the 6 pk work great for markers and crayons, but the trigger-style elephants are more complicated to determine where all five fingers belong and don’t place the middle finger as supportively as the lefty specific.Bottom line — buy these ASAP if your lefty is struggling. Worth every penny!

It took a few times using it with him and putting them on every pencil in his pencil cup, but he uses it now and even comes to me to make sure his grip is right. We have the single butterfly wing type.He was really close to the right grip, just using his ring finger instead of his middle finger under the pencil. So I'm glad we got so many in the pack because we put them on all his pencils at home. Not using them in preschool and don't see that we need to. The colors went really well with his pencil colors too.

My son has had some difficulty being a lefty in a right handed world. These pencil grips are truly for the left hand and correct the pencil holding position. He really likes these and says they are comfortable. I tried one, even though I'm right handed and they are soft and comfortable. I will be getting the right handed version for my daughter.
