I had to install a 8' ground rod in the ground and was able to do it in less than 5 minutes with this bit. Saved me a world of time and the trouble of trying to pound this into the ground with a sledgehammer. Great price also!

I am installing multiple 8 foor 5/8" Ground rods for an amateur radio shack. I liked it, 8 minutes in semi dry clay soil. I will share with the other hams in my club. I am quite happy with the performance I used a Bosch hammer drill. There was some mushroom ingredients of the end of the rod, but that would have occurred regardless of whether I used a sledge hammer of a post setter. It will be easy enough to grind away the mushroom edges material so I could drop sme Ground clamps. If I had been thinking I would have just dropped the clamps onto the post before I started hammering it down. I thought about doing a comparison and driving the next one by hand but I would probably miss my next two meals and my 77 year old arms would be totally useless for the next week at least. This is a keeper, wish I had discovered this ground rod driver attachment years ago.
