Perfect for the job! Installed on my Skeeter TZX200. It’s filtering for a Yamaha 200 VMAX. I have ran the boat 4-5 trips so far, no leaks, no fuel starvation and doing what it is intended to do. Hopefully it will hold up over the long haul. So far I’m very pleased.

Good fit and finish. Can't really say about the filter but it looks okay. The filter like this at the local store was the times the price so if say this was a good deal. No leaks after hooking up in my boat.

This is an excellent product, but yes I only gave it four stars. This filter and water separator are made very well and appear to be excellent quality. The metal housing has a nice thick even paint finish to prevent corrosion. The casting is clean and the ports have nice clean threads. The filter seems as good as any brand name filter I’ve used previously. The polycarbonate bowl is solid, easy to see through, and the water drain works smoothly. Brass hose barbs and plugs are included. This really is a high quality part at a good price. My issue and reason for four stars instead of five is due to assembly at the factory. Before installing I wanted to totally disassemble this first to see the quality of the entire unit. I couldn’t get it to come apart! I ended up getting the plastic bowl off using a large rubber strap wrench. It took a ton of force to break it free. It shouldn’t have. The parts were dry fit without any grease or lube on the O-ring then overnighted. Once I got it off and put a little dab of grease it snugged up nicely, yet was easy to remove by hand. The fuel filter was more difficult. My rubber strap kept slipping and when I put more pressure on I started to dent the casing. I ended up using a large pipe wrench. Man was it way over tightened. Fortunately I just scratched up the paint and can still use the filter. I put a dab on that and reassembled. Everything went together smoothly and now comes apart easily with a reasonable grip and amount of force. Again, this is a really good quality filter assembly at a great price. They just need to grease before assembly and shipping, or ship it disassembled. I would definitely recommend this product but you must disassemble and reassemble before you install this to prevent any issues with routine service in the future. That’s my reason for giving four instead of five stars.
