Wow these are fancy!! They came quickly and love that you can buy a 4 pack. They have a whole grate on the front to catch dirt and dog hair. It’s truly the most impressive filter I’ve ever seen. They last way longer than the crappy generic ones the rental company I lease from provides each month and with a severely asthmatic husband, 2 large sheddy dogs (we love them but dang), and a new baby air quality is a huge issue at our house. These last for a long time and they’re a little pricier but they’re so worth it because the quality is superior. Will be ordering the larger size for our other vent and this will be our preferred option going forward. We’ve used other 3M filterete allergy defense filters but this is a special design with extra layers to trap more types of hair, dirt, dust, dander.. from large to very small fuzz and crud. If you’re on the fence let me tell you these are worth the purchase!!

I live in a rental house and it was clear that the owners had not changed the furnace filter in months (if not years). I purchased these as we have dogs and we live in a damp environment. Installed one a week ago and it has already collected so much dirt, lint, dog hair, etc. and our air actually smells better. They fit fine in the furnace and given the quality that I'm experiencing already, they are worth the price.

I’ve always liked these filters; however, I only used them in my previous house with a vertical vent setup. My new house requires that the filter lays in a horizontal slot in the furnace itself. After only one month, the filter had folded itself practically in half. The filter wasn’t even full. I had the HVAC guy come out and he reworked the filter slot so hopefully when the filter does that again, I can still remove it to replace it. I could understand it if the filter were caked with dust, lint, etc., causing inceased air flow pressure due to a clogged filter, but it wasn’t. The crisscross reinforcement in the filters could be a little more substantial to keep this from occuring. Again, not a problem with vertical vents, but definitely is with horizontal vents.
