Great leash. The lower handle is really helpful with big dogs to gain more control. And the padded handles are fantastic particularly in the winter with dry hands. Glad to have found these.

Updating my original one-star review of this leash because of the response I received from the company. My initial comment was: "Did not immediately begin using this leash when we received it in January 19th. When we did, we loved the traffic handle and it seemed to be a sturdy leash. I loved the clasp/hook; however, my husband found it difficult to hook. We have an 11 month old rescue and although she weighs under 30 pounds, she is very strong. Today when my husband was walking her the leash snapped (photo attached). Literally snapped. Luckily, he had a hold of the traffic handle. I know it looks crazy. Were it not such a perfect straight line, I would have thought Lucy got ahold of it and chewed it, but it's perfect. We are outside the 30 day return window, so just out of luck. I did search questions to see if, among the 5000 reviews there were others who experienced this issue and it appears there have been which is the only reason I am writing this review. Were I the only case, I would just assume I got a poorly webbed leash." Fida contacted me after posting the review asking what they could do to make this right. I replied that since the return window had closed, I felt there was nothing more to be done. They responded again stating the warranty for the leash was for one year, so they were sending me a new leash. I have to say I was blown away that they sought me out to make this right. It's great dealing with a company that totally backs their product. As noted in my initial review, the leash has some really nice features and feels sturdy.

We really like this leash, the clasp is secure and easy to attach and detatch from our dog's collar. It has 2 handles so works well for casual walking and walking on heel in crowded situations or during training exercises. This was our 2nd order and if needed, will order this leash again.

I originally purchased this leash last year in a 5 foot model, and loved it. Super secure, doubled near the end of the leash so my dog can't chew through it, comfortable hold, hook for treats or poo bags, etc. Mostly importantly, though, it had a very secure connector (as seen in the product photo with the curved hook, where you clip the leash to the harness or collar. This was very important for me and my dog because we had an incident where another manufacturer's leash came unlatched when she rubbed up against a lamp post, and she got free. Fortunately, we were able to get her back.Anyway, this year, I wanted to try the 6 foot version, but when I received it, everything was exactly the same, EXCEPT the connector was different, and NOT as secure, in my opinion. This is why I've taken down a star. I would give 5 stars for the first version, but 4 for the second version. I would consider it a downgrade. And, I think it's irresponsible for them to post a picture of a different connector in the photos than what you actually receive.
