These tremolo screws were exactly what I needed to replace my old worn out screws. I bought an extra pack of 6 screws just to have what I am calling the correct screws should I ever need to replace any more.

These screws seem to be made of high-quality steel which makes them more resistant to screwdriver cam out than similar cheaper screws. One thing to be aware of is that they are a little longer than those other screws, so that might be something to consider if you're using them on a thinner import-spec body.

1 1/8 inch, that's very important. 12 screws in bag, perfect.

I first noticed that the screws in my 2009 MIM Strat vintage style trem were out of true while setting my bridge to float, and the defects would probably have gone unnoticed except I was using a Klien Rapi-Driv screwdriver. All six screws had a varying amounts of wobble which meant that even if my bridge was setup correctly the tension from the three springs on the bottom and the strings on the top would be unevenly distributed among the screws. So as an experiment, with the strings off and springs removed, grasping the bridge the I could feel it rock on the screws so I ordered these original Fender vintage bridge screws. They quickly arrived with twelve in the package and I decided to once again get the micrometer out and do a comparison between the new ones and the old ones. The most obvious difference was the plating. My old screws all had a black tint in the plating and the new ones were bright and shiny like chrome, although I do not know if it is actually chrome or zinc or some other alloy, they were just shiny. The new screws were a huge improvement in the stability of the floating action of the bridge and the shoulders fit the holes in the bridge much, much better and there was virtually no wobble seen when using my Rapi-Driv screwdriver. They seemed to be larger overall. Here are my measurements:Old head across the top 0.248"New head across the top 0.134"Old shoulder 0.109"New shoulder 0.272"Old threads 0.138"New threads 0.141"I am giving them five stars for the reasons mentioned above, but I give Fender a sneer for attempting to pass the screws off that came in my guitar as a product suitable in quality to match that of the reputation and price reflected in the Stratocaster, Mexican or otherwise. I highly recommend these as a upgrade to your Strat with a floating bridge, and don't forget a tiny bit of grease on the screw shoulders - it truly helps.
