The main thing to keep in mind about this doorbell is that it is not weatherproof so it can only be fitted inside buildings.The doorbell works well, it can detect movement and then a notification is received on the phone when that happens.When someone rings the doorbell, the notification on the phone will be almost like receiving a call, and when I answer I will connect to the doorbell and be able to speak through the doorbell to anyone standing outside my door. This is incredibly convenient when receiving letters and parcels as I can straight away direct them to my safe place.The doorbell comes with a chimi which is meant to be set up inside the property and when the doorbell is pressed, the chimi will produce a ringtone just like any old-fashion doorbell.The image quality is very good both day and night so no complaints there either.It is a good doorbell, which comes with all the fittings necessary for the setup which poses no problems at all.

This 2K wireless video doorbell is a solid choice for apartment living. The indoor-specific design is perfect for those of us without outdoor entryways. Image quality is crisp, and the wide-angle view catches everything.Battery life is impressive - I'm not constantly recharging. The free chime is a nice bonus, and I love being able to choose from 20 ringtones. Two-way talk works well, and the voice changer is a fun (and sometimes useful) feature.Setup was straightforward with 2.4GHz WiFi. The human detection is pretty accurate, cutting down on false alerts. Night vision is clear enough to see visitors clearly after dark.The no-monthly-fee local storage option is great for saving money long-term. Just remember to factor in an SD card if you go that route.Only real downside is it's not waterproof, so stick to indoor use only. Overall, it's a feature-packed, apartment-friendly doorbell that gives peace of mind without breaking the bank.

When it comes for value for money the Ezviz DB2 seem to be right on the button. This set is a complete bundle in that as well as working via an app it also works via a chime unit too which is included. Normally with other makes you have to buy this separately from the doorbell and at an increased cost. The chime unit features and MicroSD slot for storage if you don’t want to use the cloud system detailed in the instructions, a service that is chargeable monthly.The doorbell is powered by a rechargeable battery (included) and Ezviz claims that this lasts up to four months between charges depending on trigger events – after a week we’ve not had any issues.As well a chime unit like all other makes there is an app which seem very comprehensive. Plenty of settings to choose from ie doorbell name, camera resolutions, storage, day & night, detection sensitivity etc. Unfortunately, you cannot seem to isolate areas of sensitivity as you can with a ring or blink system, but it does have a loitering option which we’ve not seen on other systems.We did find however, the range between the doorbell and the chime unit is quite short and with the chime being quiet it can be difficult to hear – but then you do get an alert on the app too whether you're in or out. Resolution is good and so is the sound quality but as we found you do need reasonable reception to interact with any doorbell press. A good value for money system but not quite as good as the more well know makes.
