This is a quality item that fits on my iPhone and works as expected. The overall design is functional and seems durable. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

I got the Eyoyo Back Clip Phone Barcode Scanner to use with my Pixel 8 in a Caseology Athlex case [my pictures show it with a Pixel 5 in a Spigen case, for my picture-taking convenience]. The scanner and phone/case combination works better than expected.Connecting to the scanner via Bluetooth is simple, and I was scanning my first barcode within two minutes. The scanner is fast, and even does well with partially-damaged barcodes (as a point of reference, barcodes that the Amazon app can't read with its camera barcode reader function are no problem at all for the Eyoyo scanner). The included documentation is thorough, and is probably the most informative I've seen with any online order I've made all year.Although I like my Pixel 8's functionality very much, I've grown to despise its protruding rear-facing camera bar because it interferes with anything from holsters, to mounts, or any number of attachments in between. Luckily, the top and bottom clamping method of the Eyoyo scanner makes the camera bar a total non-issue (the scanner clamps at a slight angle to accommodate the bar, but it has no impact on how secure it attaches, or its functionality), from a fit perspective, it might as well be an official Google attachment. My only concern with this scanner is its durability. I have not dropped it (nor do I plan to), but the overall build quality is obviously consumer-grade -- if you're looking for the quality of a Zebra TC series scanner, you won't get it here, but then again, this isn't TC-priced. I'm not convinced the scanner would survive a drop onto a hard floor, but for the price, I have no problem recommending it if you can trust yourself (and/or your employees) to use it responsibly.

I obviously did not have the nice experience that other reviewers had. It was difficult to figure out how to install this. I finally got the Bluetooth and app installed and guess what...along with it came a pile of stupid games downloaded to my phone! This is my business phone and I do not need games randomly popping up and making sounds. That was the beginning problem...in order to work I had to agree that it had access to everything on my phone, all my pictures and even all of my contacts! There was a long list of things you had to let them access. Why does it need your contacts? I think that is very creepy. Then I scanned some magazines and books. It went to Amazon and it was pretty much a huge Amazon Prime Advertisement. You could hardly scroll or see anything about the item. It did come up with the item picture but 2 out of 3 had no price. The button for me to join prime was so large I was afraid to try to do anything on the page or I would be in prime or have bought the item. When I turned it off and back on to try more items, up came the games. I cannot have this on my business phone, not to mention it is way too invasive with all it wants access to. I deleted the app quickly. Unfortunately, I think the unit itself was built well and I liked the option of having 3 different buttons which made it easy to use.

The barcode scanner works very well with 1D barcodes, and ok with some QR codes but definitely struggles with some. The battery life is very good. While this scanner scans Code 39 and Code 128 barcodes very well that are printed, trust me when I tell you it's not worth the time and aggravation to try and scan from a computer screen as it will scan maybe one out of 10 scans on the screen. Print those exact same barcodes on a sheet of paper and it's first scan every time. I had 150 barcodes to scan and once printed on paper every single one scanned immediately and 100% accurately. In conclusion it's a decent scanner, nice quality, holds an iPhone 15 securely, and is very ergonomic. If you're purely scanning your own barcodes and using Code 39 or Code 128 barcodes this is a great scanner choice for you. I would think twice before choosing this scanner if you're purely scanning QR codes, though. Conversely, if you're scanning UPC barcodes on commercial packaging then this scanner works great and would be an ideal choice for you. I tested it on many commercial products with UPC labels, going through the pantry and laundry room in our house, and it scanned almost flawlessly, so definitely good for that. But the scanner is nicely made and feels good in your hand attached to your phone. If you're using a tablet instead then this isn't the ideal scanner for you.It charges fairly quickly. I didn't time it, but probably about a couple hours from zero battery life. It connected easily and quickly to my iPhone via bluetooth and held the connection without issue, even after multiple power on/off cycles and charging.

This is a pretty neat little barcode scanner! The bottom extends out with a spring-loaded mechanism so you can fit your cell phone, and then clamps shut to keep it in place. It has a simple on/off switch and then connects to your phone via Bluetooth and acts as an HID Keyboard for scanning. There is a button on each side of the device, plus one on the back, so scanning is super easy however you want to hold things. This recognizes regular barcodes as well as QR codes, so you have a ton of options. My only complaint is that the laser isn't super fine or precise, so you have to get fairly close to scan properly. Honestly for this kind of device that's probably expected, but if you're trying to get to something in inventory on a higher shelf without some kind of a lift, this will have a tough time doing the job. Can also be a bit hit or miss if there are multiple barcodes close together, but if you get close enough it can be accurate. If everything is near by, this is a great product and I haven't had any other issues with it. Love that it charges via USB-C, so easy to find cables if you lose the one that comes with it. Pretty nice product, if the laser was a bit better this would be five stars for sure!
