HDMI ARC Sound Extractor, 192KHz Optical SPDIF 3.5mm Output Digital Analog Sound Extractor Converter for Home Cinema TV, Volume Adjustable.This is a digital sound converter that can use optical SPDIF, coaxial SPDIF, or ARC HDMI inputs for its sound source. There is a switch on front to select which input will be used. It stays on that settings so there is no danger of accidentally switching it due to a power issue. There are 2 outputs (optical SPDIF and coax SPDIF) that are used simultaneously to pass-through any signal. There are 2 analog stereo outputs (a pair of RCA jacks and a headphone output) for stereo listening.The sound converter worked on the ARC HDMI immediately when I hooked it up. The audio outputs had the audio signal from the broadcast the TV was using.The power input and the supplied USB cable for the device used an older micro-usb connector to connect a USB power block that is not supplied.

The unit is well made and small footprint. Can easily be hidden. The unit does not come with a power adapter. Very easy to understand the connections that are required to allow it to function by extracting the audio, convenient that it has the ARC connection. I will eventually use the Optical out connection that will permit dolby audio for movies.
