I inherited a DeWalt drill from my late father-in-law several years ago which had 2 rechargeable batteries that wouldn't hold a charge. At the time they cost $75 apiece which was more than I wanted to spend.and I had a dril with a cord so the cordless drill was put aside. I kind of forgot about the old drill for a few years till we moved to a new house and came across it again when packing up the workbench. The batteries are now much cheaper so I bought one and it holds a charge and the the DeWalt works great.

Received this 2 pack of batteries for my Dewalt 12v drill, and I immediately charged both batteries, and had a project the next day where I was replacing some rusted screws on a van, and needed to drive 3/4 inch #10 screws into the frame to hold a step under each front door. I grabbed the first screw, and at about half way in, the battery died. Put in the second battery and completed the whole job. So 1 out of 2 batteries was ok.I put the dead battery on the charger again, and put the charger in a refresh mode to see if I could bring any life into this battery, and when it was charged, I put it in the same drill, and I can stop the drill chuck from turning with my hand, so I don't think this one battery is going to make it.This is the third time I have ordered after market batteries for this drill, 3 different brands, and I have about a 50% success rate with getting a good vs bad battery. May just have to bite the bullet and get the Dewalt brand battery and be done with it.

Tests as 3.1Ah (two cycles of 1C chg / 1C dischg) on a professional (UBA5) tester. Spec is 3.0Ah, so it meets the spec.I've tested about five other options for this 12V Dewalt replacement sold here on Amazon, and this is the only one I've found yet that is anywhere close to the declared capacity. All of the others test as 1.3 or 1.5Ah, regardless of their claims for 3.5, 3.6, or even 4.0Ah.After using it awhile, I'll update this review if there are any longevity issues, but out-of-box this one is a solid performer from a capacity standpoint.Mechanically, it fits well into the drill, engaging smoothly and releasing just as easily as the OEM battery.

One of my 2 original Dewalt batteries died, i replace it with this one. The new battery seem very well built, i use it for the 2 days and it is as good as or better than the original batteries that came with the drill.
