Quick note before the review, any dirt/imperfections seen in the photos are from use. This is not how it arrived - it was pristine upon delivery. And, of course, paint not included.I LOVE this tin! I've been needing something for my tube paints, and this does just the trick. I prefer teeny tiny palettes, and this size is great for me.PROS:- The size is mpact, great for travel (longest side is just under 5 inches).- Foldable finger-hole-thing to keep a good hold of the palette.- The metal is very sturdy, as well as the hinges.- Included pans are a decent quality plastic.- There is a space in the middle of the pans for more pans, a small brush, etc.While I love it, I can't give it 5 stars, because...CONS:- The platform where the pans holders sit is removable from the tin, but it does not fit snugly. It moves around quite a bit and is loud.- The pans don't fit snugly into the pan holders. They shuffle around, and would fall out with a lot of movement.- As pictured in the photo, there is a metal sheet (which I'm assuming is for mixing?) that does not go down flat. It stays at about 45 degrees and will not go lower. It's just annoying.I fixed the issues of things shuffling around with some tape, and now the palette is much more usable. Just annoying that I had to come up with a fix - I wish it just would've come without problems.Regardless of these problems, I would absolutely recommend this to someone who wants a nice, cheap little watercolor palette.

Considering how cheap this is, it's definitely worth buying because it's sturdy and doesn't have any sharp edges. It compares, and even outperforms similar products that are two or three times this price.

This little case probably isn’t as sturdy as the much more expensive one it’s designed to look like but for the price, it’s a deal! I was able to fit 21 half pans in and could have gotten a couple more in by rearranging the pans further but they wouldn’t have fit in as tidily.

It is a wonderful size for on the go painting and very sturdy! The pans are very secure but are not difficult to take out and refill or rearrange. I will definitely be buying more in the future and would recommend them to everyone!

I actually purchased two of these, one for a myself and the other for a family member who's in art school. I can only speak for myself. I purchased this for the tray insert since it allows me to have 21 half pan colors (7 n the top and another 7 on the bottom row.) The center part of the tray I spread rubber cement and then added another 7 half pans on top of it. Wish other companies would provide this option. Until then, the option to have 21 half pans allows this company's product to stand out from all the rest.I actually placed the tray inside a ME**DEN 12 half pan palette which is a bit sturdier than this one, but again, I purchased this one for myself because of the tray.
