ESSE knives are great. I have 4 ESSE knives and carry one of them EDC. I sent this knife back. The point at the trailing edge of the blade will cut you. It's a good looking knife with high quality materials, but it's more of collectors knife. Would I use it, you bet. An EDC it is not!

Magnacut is an awesome steel, this knife is a huge value for a fixed blade with a Magnacut blade. Every friend that has seen it now wants one. I put a scary sharp edge on it and the handle is impressive. The sheath can be easily configured for horizontal pull.

The stupid blade seems designed to cut you. Just hold it wrong and the stupid edge, sharpened all the way down, hovers right above your index finger.choice.Worst design ever!!!I'll never buy another knife that doesn't have a choil.

This is the perfect knife to have with you when things go really really bad it is an excellent backup to my White River 7-in firecraft. S35 vn really rocks, and magna cut is pure perfection. This knife is nothing short of magnificent. Designed by esee and built by White River knives and tool. This might be the finest little knife ever built. White River is a magnificent knife company. I love this knife as much as my dog. let's keep that on the low low my dog is a mean little bastard that has already bit me three times. I really do love my dog.

I have had this blade for a month and the sharpness is not without merit. However, today I fumbled taking it out of the sheath on my belt and it fell to the tile floor. The tip is now ruined. I could not find the shard. Magnacut is not very durable I find. I have occasionally dropped blades to this same tile but D2 and carbon steel do not chip like this did. If you are interested in this blade I would recommend the A2 version for better durability.
