Das Messer wird rasiermesser scharf ausgeliefert. Kann man von der Schärfe her mit einem Mora vergleichen.Für meine „zarten“ Hände (Handschuhgröße 8) liegt es perfekt in der Hand.Bei großen Maulwurfartigen Pranken könnte es vllt etwas schwierig werden.Hab mehrere Esee Messee zuhause (Esee 3HM, 4HM und 6) und für mich zählt diese kleine Ameise jetzt schon zu dem Top Model.Wenn wir uns ehrlich sind reicht so ein „kleines“ Messer zum Bushcraften locker.Für was soll man so einen großen Brummer mitnehmen? Das einzige was mir einfällt was ein Esee 4 z.B besser kann wäre Batonen oder hacken. Schnitzarbeiten gehen mit dem Izula deutlich besser von der Hand.Der 1095er Kohlenstoffstahl ist rost anfällig und die Pflege der Schneide sollte man nicht außer Acht lassen, aber wer nach seinem Abenteuer draußen nicht die 5sek Zeit hat die klinge kurz einzuölen dem kann man auch nicht helfen.Es hat schon einen Grund warum so eine große Firma wie Esee auf diesen Stahl setzt und dabei noch eine lebenslange Garantie gibt.Wenn ich mich jetzt nicht täusche wird das Messer mit 55-57HRC angeben was in der Szene eher auf einen weicheren Stahl hindeutet.Aber dafür lässt es sich einfach nachschärfen (sofern man einigermaßen geübt ist).Härter ist in diesem Fall nicht immer besser xDDer Schleifwinkel ist bei meinem genau 20,5 grad pro Seite. Esee gibt ja an jedes Messer auf 20 grad pro Seite zu schleifen. Somit bin ich völlig fein damit.Von mir gibt’s ne absolute Empfehlung für all die Jenigen die auf der Suche nach einem treuen Begleiter für Outdoor Abenteuer sind.

conception très robuste, en plus le design est magnifique. le manche en micarta a une ergonomie excellente.Fourni avec étui en plastique(efficace mais un peu moche), une pierre à feu, un sifflet, et de la paracorde.un couteau qui dure une vie.

Niente da dire! Praticamente perfetto!Un piccolo coltello come dimensioni ma grande nell utilizzo! Assolve tranquillamente tutti i piccoli compiti da campo e non sfigura anche su quelli più impegnativi! La lama si affila molto facilmente e la manicatura in micarta dona un gran grip anche con mani bagnate!Coltello da avere assolutamente!

This is an excellent knife. The sheath clip and carrying options are really good. I have the belt clip installed for crossdraw when I want to have it on me for work. The sheath stays securely mounted on my belt and the knife stays securely in its sheath. It is easily removed and usually hangs by a small carabiner from the tip of the sheath (neck carry hole) on the outside of my small backpack that I carry everywhere. I have no worries that the knife will fall out if the sheath, as the fit is really snug.Prior to receiving this knife, I was certain that I would be purchasing a custom leather sheath, but it is not necessary since this one works so well.
