This was a gift for a friend who received a KitchenAid mixer for the holiday. I made sure the model number was correctly matched and we tested to make sure. It sits on the stainless bowl without snapping on. I guess it could be called a friction fit but not tight so look elsewhere if you're expecting it to be a super snug fit. Having both a cover and a chute is helpful in containing the mess, especially while adding ingredients like flour and sugar, that tend to spill out when being added. Will update after she has had a chance to use it.

It does the job, arrived quickly, and was undamaged. It fits a bit loosely on the bowl and swivels easily, so I accidentally knock it out of place sometimes. I might purchase it again if it's on sale because the quality is as expected, but the price is a bit high just because it's made for "KitchenAid" items. It's easy to clean.

These products fit my 4.5 quart bowl perfectly! I did not have to make any adjustments for the paddle to fit.

I use my kitchen aid to make butter which is just whipping heavy cream until the butter solids and butter milk separate. Once the solids and milk start to separate you get a lot of sloshing before full separation and this splash guard has reduced my clean up significantly from the splashback. Would recommend. Fits a standard kitchen aid mixing bowl. The paddle attachment also fits my kitchen aid.
