The plastic is too weak and does not stay true 90 degrees under pressure.

Hay otras barras similares de mayor tamaño, pero estas sirven si uno se siente más cómodo con el plástico que con aluminio.

If they're not square, these would be worse than not having them at all, so the first thing I did was to test the squareness using a known-good try square. All pieces were dead-on.Next test was for solidity. If they're not solid and bend when pressure is applied, then the squareness doesn't really matter. I clamped these into a not-yet-assembled cabinet and cranked down reasonably hard on the clamps. Everything remained square.This set of clamps, then, is like having another set of hands and is tremendously useful when gluing up a box/drawer/cabinet. You could pay a lot more for similar sets, but why?This is a good set and I'm glad to have. The only change I'd prefer would be for the whole set to be the larger size. I don't have a lot of use for the smaller ones, especially considering that there's a long side and a short side. It's not a deal-killer, and I could see them being useful for small boxes where two long sides wouldn't fit.Oh... almost forgot the mention... I also like that this set came with clamps. I've bought other sets like this that didn't come with clamps, which of course means I had to pull out some F-style clamps, and those get pretty bulky and get in each other's way sometimes.All in all, great set... glad to have and would buy again.

These work well for small projects. They get the job done. They are sturdy and square. I just think they are a little cumbersome for large projects or if you're using them very regularly

Excuse the pun, but for some small assembly/ gluing projects this might be be a useful tool.I have not had a chance to do a "real" project since receiving these, but did do a test fit on some 1x2 and some 2x4 lumber, mostly to see how square it will actually keep them together and how easy it is to assemble.I checked the squareness of the plastic angled pieces and found them to be be perfectly square. The process of holding everything together and tightening up the thumb knob is a bit cumbersome, and with glue on the wood pieces , might be kind of tricky to not make a mess. (I didnt try this with glue, but will at some point). After the pieces were clamped together, i checked squareness, and again, was right on the money.I think for small projects this has potential , and with some practice, all the parts could be assembled fairly quickly. Because the clamping parts are plastic, I think you would be limited on how much force is applied with the thumb screws , but again for small things I think it could work.
