Adjusting the angle works well. Only 2 complaints. The hook for attaching to the door lock bar is not rubber coated, and because the adjustable bracing is below the platform, it places the platform too high on the door pillar, making it difficult to get your foot on it. Would like to see the hook, placed higher to effectively lower the platform and have it coated to prevent damage to the door pillar "bar". Otherwise it works well and although it wiggles a lot when placed in position, once your weight is on it, it is very stable.

I usually stand on the back tire to put large objects on the top of my Land Cruiser.The extra step is solid and makes putting or taking boards/kayaks on/off much safer and faster.

We have a Chevy Colorado truck – I’m only 5’1” tall, so this step is excellent and very helpful for me. It’s portable, adjustable, and easy to use. It’s sturdy underneath me; I feel confident and safe stepping up into the truck using it. The rubber pad that sits against the side of the truck keeps the paint from damage. This is also a great tool for my husband to use to secure our roof carrier and items on top of the truck, as well as cleaning/waxing. Very handy!

The metal of the hook is very porous and broke when i was loading stuff on my roof rack causing a bad fall. I feel like the hook being a very critical part of the safety of this product should be made of a more solid metal. Because of this, i cannot recomend this product at all.
