Great newborn carrier, even for small babes. My baby was tiny and born two weeks early. We didn’t start using any wraps or carriers until she was almost 7lbs and pediatrician approved it. This carrier works great for both me and my husband. Our baby falls right asleep every time!

I am so glad I got this carrier! I've used it quite regularly and my baby boy likes it, too. It is a great every-day alternative to the Ergo 360 (less bulky and easier to put on). I do have the 360 as well and love that one for hikes and outdoor walks, etc. But this carrier is perfect for just having in the house and doing chores or just holding baby for a while. It's soft and cozy and is comfortable to wear, as well. I definitely recommend! My son was about 2 months old when I got it and we still use it regularly (he is almost 6 months now).

I was so excited to try the Ergobaby Embrace carrier because the idea of keeping our newborn snug and close while still having my hands free sounded like a dream! The material is super soft, and the jade green color is absolutely gorgeous—it definitely lives up to the “cozy” promise. The problem? Our baby hates it.We tried a few times to get him settled in, but he won’t let us wear him for even a few seconds without squirming and fussing. He’s only a newborn right now, so I’m hoping it’s just an age thing and that he’ll feel more comfortable in it as he gets bigger. Since we already washed it (because newborns!), returning it isn’t an option, but we’re planning to give it another go in a few months. What we like:• Super soft fabric: The material is lovely, stretchy, and comfortable for me at least. I could see how it would be great for both mom and baby… if baby agrees.• Easy to put on: Compared to some other carriers, this one is pretty straightforward to use, which is a big plus when you’re juggling a fussy newborn.• Great for future use: I can tell this will be really handy when our baby is a little older and (hopefully) more cooperative. For now, we’re in a holding pattern until our little guy is ready to give it another shot. I’m optimistic that it’ll be a lifesaver down the line, but for now, he’s just not having it.I’d still recommend it, though, especially for parents with babies that are a bit more chill than ours!

I LOVED this carrier at first try on - it's so comfortable for me to wear and was great when my baby was still on the smaller side. However, I prefer a wrap when my babies are still small. By the time I felt my son was ready to move on to more of a carrier style, he was too big for this. Let me specify- he is STILL within the weight range (17lbs) but since you can not adjust the width of the seat, once baby is bigger it can no longer extend long enough to the backs of their knees and therefore can't be seated in an "M" position for healthy hips. Their legs will just dangle more. I tried to adjust his butt in every way possible, but because the base is now too small it won't work.I wish ergobaby would add an adjustment feature for growing babies and this would be the best carrier ever for its value! Bummer.
