Fantastic. I didn't think you could still get good precision tools like this. I have 3 of their pliers now. Yay for quality.

I have used these pliers on a small solar panel system install and found they performed excellent, they are excellent quality, but there unique design and versatility for doing all the jobs of cutting wire, fastening screws, pulling, pushing wires was exceptional. The gripping design on the jaws and the handle strength I found top notch.

ENGINEER NEJI-SAURUS green handle pliers are identical to Vampliers. These are Japanese and made for the Japanese market. Vampliers have red handles with English instructions and cost significantly more. You get what you pay for. These aren’t a substitute for true high end (SnapOn, KNIPEX) needle TIP pliers, but they are excellent needle NOSE and if they’re your only pair, then they will do what you need. They’re the only pair I’ve ever used that have large, aggressive teeth that actually mesh perfectly- the result is that they grab anything you put in there- even thin wire. There IS ONE DISASVANTAGE. The tip has two cutouts intended to grab the head of small screws. This feature is useful, but it makes the needle nose gapped and for this reason, you may not be able to use these as effectively in that one application- it’s a trade off in my opinion and an acceptable one. Needle TIP pliers come to a sharp point and are used to grab tiny pieces in confined spaces. These are not meant for that. These are meant for small parts big enough for blunted needle NOSE with gapped teeth. I personally need both pliers, but now reach for these first due to the extreme serrations of the perfectly meshed jaws behind the nose. Awesome pliers. These are the least amount of savings of the Engineer vs Vampliers marketing scheme- the best deal is with the linesman style pliers, which were literally 35% cheaper in the green handled line. I compared both side by side and can assure you that they’re made in the same factory from the same steel on the same machinery and have the same exact packaging with the difference being in the translation and red handles on the Vampliers. That’s it.I own the tiny ESD electronics pliers, needle nose, and the linesman. There’s an intermediate pair i returned because after close examination, I concluded that the other 3 pliers will cover all my needs and that the intermediate pair were redundant. If this is your only set of pliers, but those as well. If you want to try just one pair, the linesman are great, but these needle nose are more useful.I normally use KNIPEX German made pliers(the best) and SnapOn tools. I have used Channel Lock and Craftsman in the past and they’re garbage compared to Vampliers/Engineer and KNIPEX.KNIPEX are the best, but these Engineer pliers are very close in quality and serve a special purpose, such as removing stripped machine or sheet metal screws. I use these on circuit boards because manufacturers like to fill screw heads with glue, hot glue, loctite, super glue, you name it- to prevent tampering or 3rd party repair. These pay for themselves fairly quick if you’re a mechanic or technician.
