Love this t-stat. Replaced an old model that I couldn't work remotely. Downloaded the app and it guided me step-by-step through the process. Very easy to install and now I can use Alexa or my phone to quickly setup changes, turn things on or off etc. Love the big, clear display too. Touch screen is nice too, no buttons to mess with. Be sure to take pictures of your old connections before removing any wires! Turn the HVAC power off as Emmerson tells you to do. I didn't, and I ended up blowing the fuse on the HVAC control board when two wires touched.

Love the appearance & price point.It has exceeded our expectations. It does all you would expect a WiFi thermostat to do (being able to change temp with phone, watch, Siri, Alexa etc as well as using touch screen)Has feature you can lock out touchscreen- but we don’t need that feature. Can read display easily.The backlight changes color when it goes into cool or heat mode. Besides all things previously mentioned, my husband feels like having the ability to activate the fan to circulate air for a predetermined amount of time per hour outside the normal cooling or heating cycle really helps to keep the house at a constant temperature & seems more efficient & house doesn’t get stuffy. Currently we have ours set to 15min/hour but can be set for any amount of time if your choosing.Would definitely recommend!

Dit product is niet geschikt voor gebruik in de EU. Probleem begint al bij het registratie proces, daar loop je vast omdat registratie alleen voor USA en Canada mogelijk is. Het alternatief (Apple home) beschikt niet over alle functies voor optimaal gebruik en functionaliteit. Programma’s (schedules) maken is onmogelijk. Door registratie problemen werkt deze thermostaat (zonder schedules) alleen binnen je eigen netwerk omgeving en niet buitenshuis.(Middels Apple apparatuur geprobeerd het draaiende te krijgen)

Love the functionality and appearance of this thermostat on my wall. I love all of the features, the way it lights up when my hvac is running, how it gives humidity readings, has a soft backlight that illuminates, and all the personalizations you can do with this thermostat, and turn things on and off.The install for me, however, was tricky to say the least only because I have a older home, and had a 4 wire thermostat wire. I could make the 4 wire work, but I lose some functionality of the thermostat. I wired it using 4 wires at first, but I had no manual control of turning the fan on the furnace on and off. This thermostat can also be set to turn the fan on to circulate air in your home, if the the hvac is not required to come on for a temperture set point..Well that function was lost for me because of my 4 wire thermostat wire. I ended up replacing my 4 wire with 5 wire, and running the new wire through the wall and crawlspace. Not an easy task, but I wanted all my thermostat options to work. This is one of the options that sold me on the purchase of this thermostat, but It was not clear how it would work with what I already had in my home until I installed the thermostat. So now everything is fully functional and I am very happy with my purchase.The phone app for this thermostat, is very user friendly, and is a must in the aid of setting up and installing the thermostat. Getting the Sensi to connect to my home wifi was a breeze with the step by step instruction of the phone app. Don't skip steps in the set up process like I did. It took a minute to figure out that I got ahead of the set up process, and the app will buck you on connecting to the wifi. Not a big deal, you can just start over on the steps to connect the wifi, and it will connect right away with no problems.As far as automation with Alexa and Google home voice operation, I did not opt to do all that. I just use my phone to change settings, or get up and walk over to the thermostat lol.Overall, very nice thermostat with whistles and bells that I had not had before, and so far so good, it is working flawlessly.

I installed this today by myself. I took a pic of my old thermostat configuration to show you all. Took maybe 15 mins for everything except the WiFi. I followed the instructions on the app which was a very helpful tool. I can't say enough good things about that bc whenever I install a new thermostat I am puzzled when the letters don't matchy matchy. This app took that guesswork out for me. Thank you Emerson. The wifi I was stumped on for a but bc it said my password didn't work. I figured out either me or the app was adding a space at the end of the password... So just be aware of that. This thing works amazing. If it blows up or stops working down the road, I'll update my post but so far, so good. Both the touch screen on the device and the app work great. I love that you can lock the touch screen so your kids can't increase the temperature.Installed my second one in the house where I only had R W G wires. Followed tutorial on changing G to C wire and I got it up and running. Wasn't a problem. Added 10 mins onto the job. Easy peasy.
