The bottle is plastic in case you are confused by the photo; I am not sure what the red sock is really supposed to do.Works great and is easily refillable. You can adjust the volume/tone to a certain extent, which is a neat feature.

I have neighbors whose dogs bark allot. I talked to them and it did no good. When I hear those dogs barking too much, I open the window and blow this horn long and loud. Scares the crap out of the barking dogs and signals the owners to get there dogs. I have trained my neighbors well with this horn and the barking dogs has almost stopped and they come running when I blow the horn. The refillable bottle makes this a great investment and it is super loud.

On a full charge (80 PSI), you will get about 1-2 seconds of a loud signal, and then it quickly drops off to silence over the next 4-6 seconds. You then must refill it with a pump. What use is that?!?!? The product is actually potentially dangerous if people buy it for nautical scenarios expecting it to perform like the canister air-horns and quickly lose the ability to signal. I cannot think of a scenario where this product is useful, and any "environmental" benefits are quickly outweighed by the fact that these will most certainly all end-up in a landfill. Yet another extremely inconvenient "green" product. I don't know why this ever made it to market.
