I just got the kit today. I was hoping the whole kit was lead free but some of the rigs have lead in them as stated on the packaging (see pictures).The rest looks good. The split shot appears to be tin and the other weights look to be steel.For a starting kit it looks like it has what you need to get started with some non-toxic weights.

Not what i expected its a pack of hooks of different sizes, the fish info card is useful, i thought it might have bait

Great starter package. I would note the instructional pamphlet also shows you what lures to use for what fish and their feeding habits. The container it comes in is very heavy, and I immediately removed it and all the contents fit into small container the size of a regular ziplock bag. Great to throw in your trunk or survival or camping kit. Add a couple of eye screws and a roll of fishing line and you've got the ingredients for a makeshift fishing pole.

Very complete but plastic box is larger than it looks. Takes up a lot of room in my survival kit.
