I love these masks for their ease of use. I can also get them in XL, for my palomino whose head is like a brick, and is hard to fit. My horses don’t seem to have issues with seeing through them, or getting too hot with them on, here in Arizona. It doesn’t hurt that they’re very affordable, too! I purchase these every year.

This brand is the only fly mask that is strong enough to last for more than one summer. Every year I would have to replace fly masks as the horses would rub holes through the eye area. They are comfy and fit right. They last forever, affordable and easy to clean!!! Wish they came in more colors as I need three sizes and remembering what fits who, after the size on the mask finally wears off, is a pain. Finally I don't have to replace my masks every year!

These masks are still made of durable materials and that is harder to find in masks now days. They do run smaller and I would reccomend buying the x-large size if you have a horse with a "bigger" but, still "average" head. These masks are tough, hold up for pasture life well and stay on! You also cannot beat the price for such a durable mask.

I have tried pretty much every fly mask on the market. My challenge is that I take care of a very large number of every size and type of horse. Most are pastured with playmates. I want them strong enough to withstand other horses tugging them off or chewing them. I want them to stay on well but if the situation calls for it; I would like it to come off if they get hung up on a branch or fence and survive to be worn again. I also need a mask that is a good value and reasonable cost. Its all about utility and safety. After several seasons using these along with other brands, these have proven to be the most durable. They have survived pretty much everything these rambunctious horses have tried in an attempt to destroy them! They have far outlived any other brand. I love them for that reason. Now the bad part. The sizing is difficult to say the least. They run very, very small. The majority of quarter horses and smaller TBs, even larger Arabs all take an X-Large. Most Arabs and large ponies take a Horse size. I have many Warmbloods and large TBs that I wish I could fit. X-large does not fit either of them. The next size up is Draft. The face size seems cut right for large horses But bizarrely when every other size is small for the ears, The ear space for that size is so large, it falls off 17.2h dutch warmbloods with huge heads! I have to cut the mask behind the ears and shorten it up 3-5 inches. So something is amiss with their size models. If you can get the right fit, this is a great mask at an excellent value. I hope that Durvet rethinks their sizing and tells us if they make changes. And that they keep their materials the same (some brands have gotten flimsier) That would make this mask fantastic!
