The DC cable I received matched the description exactly: It's a coiled DC cable, typically used to power a video monitor, etc., from a DC power source such as a V-Lock battery (or a 12V voltage regulator connected to the battery).The D-Tap end fits the standard D-Tap DC outlet of my V-Lock battery, and the round DC barrel connector has an Outside Diameter (OD) of 5.5mm and Inside Diameter (ID) 2.5mm, exactly as specified in the product descriptions on Amazon.As far as the length of the cable, when the coil is not stretched at all, the end-to-end length is about 14 inches. The cable could be stretched "gently" to about 32~40 inches, after which the coil immediately returned to the original shape. (It would be possible to stretch it some more, but I didn't try for fear that the coiled portion might lose its shape.)I have no complaints. 5 stars.The end-to-end length:- Unstretched: about 14 inches- Stretched mildly: About 32~40 inches

Definitely check what exact type of DC cable you need. I misunderstood it and purchased this to power a light, however later found out that it was not the right type of DC cable.Nevertheless, the cable is nice. The coiled portion makes this is super sturdy.
