Worked for about 4 weeks then 3 of the four ports started dropping connection causing my camera to power down. Avoid.

I tested all the ports running of a V-mount, and they all work. Two things of note. The indicator light is VERY bright. They could definitely tone that down some. Probably a gaffer tape solution. The four ports behave a little differently than I'm used to. The D-tap connector does not bottom out as I'm accustomed to. It very much has a friction fit that gets tighter as you insert it, much like a tapered pipe fitting feels, so the connector does not look like it's all the way in. It's plenty of secure, just different. However, just to test, once I unplugged it, I plugged the connector on its own pig tail into itself, and it seats perfectly, so it's very likely the connector I was trying was not ideal.I LOVE the captive screw to quickly attach it to a rig. That is super nice.

I recently incorporated this Dtap splitter into my Sony FS5 setup, which I frequently use with a Steadicam. When utilizing the Steadicam, the camera has its dedicated Dtap plug, and I need an additional Dtap cable to power both the wireless follow focus and the wireless transmitter, especially when they're mounted on top of the rig for specific projects.Alternatively, when I operate the FS5 on a tripod or in a shoulder-mounted configuration, I power all components using a single Dtap splitter, including the camera, monitor, follow focus, and wireless transmitter. In both scenarios, this splitter has been an absolute game-changer! One standout feature is its impeccable grip on Dtap connectors, eliminating the need for constant adjustments or taping to prevent them from dislodging—a hassle I've encountered far too often with other splitters. Moreover, the inclusion of a 1/4" 20 screw has been a lifesaver, enabling me to directly attach it to the FS5 or a cheeseplate without the hassle of gaff tape or dual lock. This flexibility has significantly streamlined my setup process. In summary, I highly recommend this Dtap splitter for its reliable performance and thoughtful design.
