These work pretty well! Easy to install in a bucket.

The product is very easy to install and seems to made of quality materials. That is definitely a 5 star rating. But my chickens just do not like sticking their heads in the holes. The holes are of adequate size. i have Guineas too and they have horns on top of their heads. I can see they might be on the small side for them. So all fowl are still eating out of their normal feeding dishes. A couple of chickens figured it out but the rest are skeptical. Seems like a great idea and my neighbor has had success. I may have weird chickens and Guineas.

Easy enough to drill hole in bucket and install. A couple of notes. A flat sided bucket (example, cat litter bucket) may make a easier nicer finished product. Radiused and tapered buckets are more difficult to use but a good product can be had. The softer material of radiused and tapered bucket is the better than harder material. Harder buckets were stiff enough that threads on the feeder ports would jump a thread rather than tighten, the clamp load needed was too much for the port threads. I heated the bucket and used wood block to make flat spot. Make sure to keep the port above the bottom of bucket sufficient to allow feed to "flow" under port. Pour some grain of flat surface, the conical shape or mound formed is the same slope the grain will flow under the port. There was a term for this slope used in school a few decades ago, it will come to me. Feed wasted as been diminished. Less feed on ground to attract vermin. So far I am pleased with product.

I have had these for 3 months now, and I absolutely love them. The chickens do too!I have not had issues with these leaking on the round 5 gallon buckets. They were a little difficult to tighten up on the round bucket, but it’s absolutely doable. Just use the regular bucket lids, and don’t worry about gamma lids. I originally put gamma lids on mine and they got so much water inside, but the regular lids kept the feed nice and dry. These have also reduced feed waste tremendously for my flock as well. There’s always going to be a bit of feed waste, but it is negligible in my case. Each bucket holds ~ 20-25# of feed when full.I installed these by making 4 marks 4” from the bottom of the bucket spaced evenly around, and that has seemed to be great for my chickens. I thought it might be too low at first, but after putting one bucket up on a brick and one on the ground, they all preferred the lower one.I highly recommend these!
