The cord is soooo short. It barely loops through itself off the kayak, but needs an extra inch at least to reach the hole in the kayak and loop it. Am I missing something? How is everyone giving these such good reviews? Without cutting the cord that came with and adding your own, this just can't work. So annoying.

The hook on my kayak broke and the handle was lost. This one fit exactly as needed (single person Dolphin). I think it would hold up to the rigors of a heavier kayak but just be sure that the clip it attaches to is strong enough. The handle itself is great.
