Installs and works perfectly on my 8220, even aligns with the top of the tool. Light is battery powered (2xCR1025), not tool powered, and it works great to light up whatever you’re working on as intended—it is not a super powerful bright light you can use as a handheld flashlight or anything, but it’s just as good as the lights on my DeWalt tools and serves its purpose just fine.Happy I was able to buy this attachment since I happened to buy my 8220 right before they launched the versions with the light and I figured I was screwed. It arrived about a week earlier than expected too, which is nice.

I have been looking at this Dremel light for quite a while but the price has always been expensive but now the price is reasonable and I am glad I purchased it It is quick to fit an remove so you can use other attachments and I find it really good for drilling small holes in a model boat where the light is not so good it’s operated by a single push button and uses a button battery light output is quite impressive and one of the photos you can see how it illuminates The workpiece i don’t drill in complete darkness this is to shows the quality of the light The item came well packaged and delivered on time and as described by the seller Overall very happy with it
