I'm a first time mom. I thought me and my fiancee would have to build this contraption piece by piece. But it was already put together. Just the legs that hold it up and a canopy needed to be hooked on underneath. That's it! So sturdy, but simple. It's so much cuter in person. The photos don't do it enough justice. I love it. Now I feel ready for my baby's arrival. 👍🏻 👍🏻

The bassinet arrived when it said it would and putting it together was very easy and straightforward! I also left a video review. :)The color is spot on with the picture. It is sturdy and the legs were perfectly even so there was none of that awkward and annoying shifting movement that happens when legs are uneven. The Zipper was not obnoxiously loud like I thought it was going to be. You do need to use two hands to zip it up because the covering (NOT the zipper) has stiffer framing but I wouldn't say that it was annoyingly so. My kids were able to do it themselves.I do appreciate that the frame covering is stiff enough that if even one of our cats was to jump on the bassinet before I could catch them that it wouldn't collapse on the baby. Or if a child were to lean up against it there is no fear of it coming off or collapsing. The only thing that I saw that could potentially be an issue over time is that once the bassinet is laid out the corners of the board pieces that the mattress lays on pokes the fabric a little bit harder than I would want it to but I think the easy fix there is that when the bassinet is folded in half you could gently file the corners of the wood so that they were more rounded. I cover this in my video review. The whole board the mattress lays on itself at first seemed like it wasn't going to be very sturdy but once the frame was up it felt very secure. I feel like a baby would have to be really chunky and jumping up and down hard in it too make the hinges begin to bow downward. The bassinet mattress is a typical one that if you wanted to add more padding to you could wrap a blanket around it. I felt that the bassinet was even on the bottom and I would feel comfortable placing my baby in it. The mattress pad also seemed pretty easily clean able. The bassinet is of a good size and I would say if you have a smaller home or room this would be a good one because it's big enough to hold a baby but it's not so big that it feels like it takes up a lot of room. It's like one of those smaller cars that look small on the outside but turns out to be rather roomy on the inside. There are no wheels to move it around but it's light enough to pick up and place where you want it so I don't find that to be an issue and folding it up to travel with it would be easy too. But don't mistake that it being light means that it's not sturdy because it definitely is sturdy!

I bought this because I THOUGHT I got a 5 in 1 playpen with a portable bassinet, but it actually did not include the bassinet. I thought I would be able to just transport the playpen in and out of the room to use in the living room, but that ended up being really inconvenient because of the size of my doorway. I found this, which is priced very well and even better than the portable one with the playpen would have been because it sits up high off the floor and is covered, which is great having a 2 year old in addition to my newborn. Plus I can take it with me when visiting family if needed. The one bad thing is it has a very strong smell and I don't want to put my baby in it because I feel like she shouldn't be breathing that in. It's been sitting 2 days and I'm still waiting for it to air out.

Purchased this as a small bassinet with a cover to keep at bedside for newborn baby while pets were adjusting to our new family member. This bassinet is quite sturdy, but could not seeing it being the long term bed for our baby. Was shorter than I had expected and required a lot more bending over to get baby out than anticipated. The mattress/padding that came with the bassinet was great and easy to clean. The color and pattern were exactly as pictured. It did have a broken rib on the cover netting that eventually gave out but it didn’t hinder the overall use of the cover as the zipper was sturdy and the other ribs held up fine. The basket on the bottom was helpful to store extra clothing, diapers, swaddles, etc. I appreciated how easy it was to assemble for a 9 month pregnant woman who couldn’t wait for someone else to do it. It was easy to move from room to room to keep our little one close. Easy to store away when we were done using it.

I love how easy it was to "assemble". I wouldn't even call it assembling because all you do is pop the legs on. Literally 30 seconds! I hate assembling stuff, so this was a huge plus for me. I also loved the color and look of it, black with stars matches my room perfectly! And the height is perfect too- some were way too low which would hurt your back bending down (especially if you're in your 30s+ lol) but also not too high to where it's wobbly or anything. It feels super sturdy. As far as how well it works for an actual baby, I can't really comment on that, other than to say I had a bassinet that was way more basic/cheap looking than this when my daughter was born 14 years ago, and that one worked just fine so this is definitely an upgrade! So what am I using a bassinet for if not for a baby you may ask? I'm using it to display my reborn dolls. (If you're not familiar, they are high end, realistic, hand-made dolls. I paint and sell them, but I have 5 that I kept for myself). Up until now, I was storing them on my bed which was a pain to move them every night and also worried me that one day my dog might start messing with them since he lies on my bed while I'm at work. So, I needed something to put them in that would not take up too much space and would protect them. This bassinet is perfect for that! It doesn't take up much room, but stores all 5 newborn sized dolls! I especially love that it has the canopy that zips up to keep dust off them! I'm sure it would be great for a real child too so they are protected from bugs, sunlight, pets, or if anything were to accidentally fall (I mean if it were something super heavy like a ceiling fan or the roof caving in or some crazy disaster it wouldn't be a perfect shield, but it would definitely help!) And if it was something light like a picture frame or something it would definitely protect the baby. But it is also removable which, for me, is great when I want to really "display" the dolls/take photos of them to sell them. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase! And I would've loved to have this 14 years ago for my actual baby lol
