Perfect fit for my truck, only thing I had to do was get a flathead and bend the lil prongs out a lil more to line up with my clip so it would connect. And also bulbs do snap in hard, thought I'd break the bulbs pushing in but they went in and everything seems to work as it should.

I bought two of these: the first one was packaged in a plain white box, as soon as I took the circuit board out of the box I could tell it was junk. It was very cheap plastic, with removable foam. Lo and behold, when I plugged it into the truck, it was defective. The reverse light, turn signal and brake flash worked fine (perhaps a little dim compared to the legit one), but the steady brake lights that come on when you turn the headlights on did not work at all. I returned it, and ordered another one hoping to get lucky and get a legit one. My local auto parts store didn't have these in stock, and they were much more money there, so I figured I would take a gamble.The one I got today came in a brown cardboard box with a Dorman part # sticker on it. The circuit board feels like a much higher quality than the suspected counterfeit, but not quite as good as the one that was on the truck. The foam on this one is glued into the board, and when I hooked it up it works perfectly.If you order this, be careful and make sure that you get a legit Dorman part. You should be able to tell just by feeling the plastic, if it feels extremely cheap (like a Happy Meal toy!) return it until you get a legit one.

Thought it was a grounding issue and thankfully this fixed my problem. So yes it does work on my 1989 GMC C1500

Not as good as OEM which is no longer available new, but its the best compared to the other generic brand ones that I can't pronounce the name of. Dorman has always made products a cut above. This one fit well and is still working after a few weeks so far.
