I have an RG35XX and a RG35XX H, this RG34XX fits right between the two size wise. I would say it’s a little small if you have big hands. My hands are on the small side, 3 inches wide, and sometimes I feel like this console is going to slip out of my hands. But I prefer the size over the smaller RG35XX. This console is a little thicker than the RG35XX H.The screen looks so good. The games look amazing, I almost can’t believe it. This is the way to play old games, and the translucent green shell takes me back to my Game Boy days. The buttons don’t feel quite as clicky as my other consoles, and I personally prefer that. I don’t like buttons that take too much effort to press.However. One of the SD cards that came with the console, it’s borked. So at least half the games are not available to me. I have to get new SD cards and possibly run a different OS. The instructions are nonexistent really, and at first I couldn’t figure out why I didn’t have any games loading. There’s a second SD card inside the case, and once I put that in, I had some games but not at all. I shouldn’t have to fiddle with and fix a brand new device, so that is disappointing.

So really this thing is really good. Especially if you were an avid Pokémon GBA player. It's super nostalgic, and has a great screen. That said there are caveats that I will mention below. I do really like it though, so full marks from me. If you want more info, or want to prepare/having problems read on.I'm going to go through some basics of these emulation devices and it will hopefully help the many out there. Especially those that are having issues with the device.1. The SD card that comes with the device is not good. If you want to continue to use the existing software you should back up the contents and burn the image onto a new high quality 64gb/128gb micro sd card. The signs that your sd card has gone belly up are things like not being able to boot, or frequent crashes. The SD card is just not good. Give up on it and buy something like a Samsung or Sandisk.2. The software on it is ok. The software on the sd card is ok, but really there are other great options. I'm personally using an alpha build of knulli, and it's pretty good. I know a lot of folks use MuOS, which is also highly rated. Just know that the Anbernic software isn't your only option. Also when finding images you want images for Anbernic RG34xx specifically. If the images aren't specific for the device it will not work and you will tear your hair out trying to figure out what went wrong.3. Backup the sd card. Really what's in there is not bad. And you can back it up before it gets corrupted. This will also allow you to recreate "stock" state whenever you want. Back it up now. At least backup the games and bioses you will kick yourself if you didn't.Overall I really like the device. It's nice and customizable. It's also quick to startup and play for beginners. I highly recommend this, and I highly recommend you replace that SD card shortly after getting it so your saving/ playing/ doesn't corrupt the card. Remember you won't "brick" the machine. I don't even think the thing has much firmware in it to brick. Really it's all that SD card.
