This works well for my needs. I don’t have an 8k monitor so I can’t say if it went that high but I didn’t have a problem pushing 165 Hz to my 1440P monitors.I like that it’s metal and feels heavy. Duty has said a cheap plastic. I didn’t notice any flickering or any real screen degradation.

I have the set up for my shared monitor between my computer and my gaming system. Really easy to install, I got it tucked away, so it is nice and hidden. Very easy to switch. Functionally does exactly what it's supposed to do. I have not had any problems with flickering and the picture quality seems to be as expected, as if I was plugged in directly to the monitor.

I'm very happy with this DisplayPort switch. I'm using it to switch inputs on a 4k monitor at 60 hz and it works exactly as it should. Switching is quick and without any errors. I've also tested it on a 1440p 144hz monitor and it has no issues with that either. It correctly passed through G-Sync on the high refresh rate monitor too.

It causes the monitor to flash on and off. I tried it with two computers and finally gave up.
