the laser is bright and protected in a nice enclosure with a high quality fully adjustable base. I used a pair of them to create a + on the table to locate where the center of the spindle bit is in relation to the table or object on the table.

This green line laser is a nice unit.The lens assembly is more refined than most and focuses easily from quite close out to a significant distance - this allows a nice crisp line on your work and under moderate lighting, its quite bright. Line is more uniform in brightness than cheaper lasers. Focusing does rotate the line - so you will have to rotate the laser body after focusing.The body is 18mm diameter if mounting in another fixture. The provided mount is ok but not super sturdy - on a vibrating piece of machinery it does come loose.The cord on the laser and the power supply are quite short - I expect that in many cases, they will need extended but its fairly simple. The laser uses a standard barrel connector and is 5VDCThe laser has a compliance and performance sticker on the side - unfortunately, none of the specifics are punched or marked in any way - this could be a problem if you need the rating available and visible.The green line is very wide and quite bright - I suspect that the actual laser is more than the stated 5mW advertised. This is great as a line laser - but again, might be an issue for some uses.Apart from the short power cord, this is a nice laser with a nice clean line and a usable mount - I think its worth the price and is a useful accessory.

I purchased this “Qianfabeam 520nm Green Laser Line Diode” for my son’s science fair project to demonstrate light refraction. I’ve worked with lasers for years in various projects and experiments, and I can say with confidence—this isn’t a real laser.After setting it up and going through all the troubleshooting steps, it still didn’t work. Instead of producing a laser beam, it only emitted a faint green glow, much like a standard LED, not a laser diode. Not only was this ineffective for our project, but it also directly contradicts the product images, which depict a red laser.The questionable labeling on this product only further supports my conclusion. The label includes a broad range of specifications, covering multiple wavelengths and power outputs (from 405nm to 980nm and from Additionally, the weight feels substantial, almost like it’s filled with lead or weighted material, but that doesn’t add any value when the device itself doesn’t work. This seems like an attempt to make the product feel high-quality without delivering any functionality.In summary, this product feels like a scam—a misleading, poorly labeled device that doesn’t function as advertised.If you’re looking for a real, functional laser for any project, save yourself the frustration and avoid this one. This purchase was a complete waste of money, and I hope this review helps others steer clear of the same disappointment.
