This is an SDS Max drill bit. Although stating it has a 1/2" shank, it is not. This is some bastard designation referring exclusively to a proprietary size. I have before cut the ends off SDS bits used them in both regular and hammer drills with success. This has a shank of .705". Will not fit in a 1/2" drill chuck.

The bit did the job better than I expected. It cut through concrete like butter. The fifth hole was as quick and smooth as the first. The value was excellent when compared to home improvement stores.

I used it to drill through my foundation. It worked well for me and made a clean hole with the hammer drill I used.

This is one major drill bit. This size works for drilling through rock and accommodates T-posts.

Beastly powerful, this beautiful bit makes way for 1" conduit with ease. I won't use it often, but I'm sure I could and it would not complain.
