I do layers upon layers of quality color pencils in my pet portraits. The burnisher helps blend things like fur and blankets amazingly to almost resemble a painting. Using this burnisher will allow you to blend the rougher marks and waxiness of the drawing. The only thing I'd like better is one that would not lighten up some colors, but otherwise, it works like a dream.
