I have about 8 pairs of Democracy jeans. Some were purchased in the Canadian store that used to sell them, some were purchased from Amazon. ALL of them are a size 8 or a size 8 petite and all fit me perfectly. I was shocked when I ordered my usual size 8 in these jeans and then tried them on. They were tiny. At least 2 sizes too small - I could barely zip them up. I know I have not gained weight. These jeans are clearly mislabelled with regards to sizing. They are at the biggest a size 4. I LOVE my Democracy jeans - they are all I wear, but I am definitely getting the feeling that the ones sold on Amazon are the cast offs or the ones that can not be sold by the actual retailer (because of mislabelling or some other such nonsense) as this the SECOND time I have ordered my beloved Democracy jeans and there is something very off about them.

I LOVE this jeans brand. If you want a comfortable waist with decent stretch, these are the pants for you. The waistband has an elastic stretch band that is perfect for people looking for plus-sized and belly-friendly jeans. The fit around the waist is flattering. The fabric on these pants is thinner, but won't stretch out when you wear them like so many jeans do. I'm 5'2" and the petite length fits me perfectly. I ordered three different pairs from this brand and the sizes were consistent even when the fabric was different. I highly recommend these. Bonus: They're available through the try before you buy program - so you can try a size up and down for the perfect fit.

This is my 3rd pair of Democracy Ab Solution Jeans. The other two were full length size in 4P. The length was perfect for flats, heels or boots. I wanted a pair of crop jeans for spring and summer. I’m tired of finding crop pants in regular length that I would have to shorten them. These were 6P and the length is perfect, about 4” above my ankles and just below the wide part of my calf. Mid calf is not flattering on my since mine are muscular not slender. The fabric has some stretch as well as the waistband. They are comfortable and flattering. I first got them inn 4P but they were a little snug so I exchanged them for the 6P. My others in 4P were fine size wise. I’m 5’3” and 125 lbs. the smaller size would have stretched out eventually, but I wanted them right away.Note: the fabric has some slight imperfections placed purposefully near top front of thighs for the distressed look.

I loved everything about the look, shape, feel and color of these jeans! I also bought them in the blue color.
