Easy peasy - just plug in and it works. Interestingly, though, you need to keep the batteries in the unit even when you use this. It appears that this powers the turn on and off aspect of the faucet, which is the power drainer, and the batteries still power that little light that lets you know if the water is hot or cold. I noticed the little light didn’t work when I removed the batteries and then I read the instructions, which directed to leave batteries in.

Works as advertised, plugged right into our new Lenta touch faucet. Although the batteries last a long time this is just an easy option that will pay for itself. As recommended we did use the battery pack as a backup for a power failure

I love that this works without the need for the battery pack. I simply secured the battery holder to the back of the sink without the batteries in it. The faucet work just fine without it.
