While you can find cheaper kids shoes, I have found the DC brand to be one of the best value in terms of durability for the money. My kid is very active and really beats his shoes up. He's on his third pair of DC shoes now, and all of them have lasted until he outgrew them without falling apart. This is more than I can say for a lot of other brands I tried.

These shoes have no cushioning in the footbed. My son really likes how they look and since we couldn’t find another shoe he liked in his size, we kept them and i then invested another $15 in a pair of cushioned insoles. So these ended up being an expensive pair of shoes. They seem to be well made though and are nice looking.
