The batteries seem to be good. I tried them after a good charge, and they performed well. Only time will tell .

These batteries are an easy way to revive those older power tools without having to pull together everything needed to swap to lithium.They took a charge just fine, the plastic casing is decently molded and locks in to the tool firmly, and the cells appear to hold their rated capacity. Great replacements for the price thus far.

These replacement battery packs fit and function like the original DeWalt DC9098 battery packs that came with my drill.The original batteries have been getting weaker and weaker as time has progressed. I have other more modern drill models that use Lithium-ion batteries so this older, fully-functional drill was destined for the donation bin until I saw these batteries advertised at a fraction of a DeWalt battery price.I prefer to use this drill instead of my others for really tough drilling tasks such as concrete drilling or large diameter hole saws so having new batteries to extend its use is much appreciated.These batteries are slightly taller and heavier than the original batteries as shown in the photos. The fit feels just like the original, but the latch springs feel a bit stronger, requiring a bit more effort to release the battery from the drill. Still, the installation and removal feel very good.The original batteries are Ni-Cd and these new packs are Ni-MH which should be an improvement in performance time and self-discharging. There was nothing mentioned about chargers so I assumed that since these are sold as “replacements”, I could use the original DeWalt charger. The charger seemed to charge both new battery packs just fine and the drill performs like it was new.Only time will tell how long these battery packs will last, but right now I am very pleased with their performance and being able to use my old drill again.

These are the wrong size battery. These are for the old dewalt drills, so doesn't fit correctly. If you have the old style, these are pretty big.
