This was pretty easy to install, but didn't work well with Mansfield flush valves unless you tinker with it a little.Toilet handles are not all that complicated, you pretty much just unscrew the old one and pop it out then pop the new one in and screw it on. This is no different. The big issue I had was that it doesn't work well with the Mansfield flush valve that I have as the arm of the handle comes out of the flush valve and either falls in the tank, or keeps the valve open. It's an easy fix, just secure the handle to the flush valve with wire, or similar, so it opens and closes corretly, but just be aware before buying if you use a Mansfield. Once installed, it's very solid, having all metal parts is a nice change, and it looks decent.Overall, no major complaints and it does the job for a good price.

How many women does it take to fix the toilet handle? ONE!Man #1 - it's fixed (used plastic)Man #2 - okay, now it is fixed (used plastic)Man #3 - it is okayONE Woman - hum, handle is vertical, keeps hitting lid, water keeps running.ONE Woman thought, let me research on Amazon, find the easiest repair, find a METAL one and not plastic, PURCHASE, receive next day, find a wrench only to remove the sooooo tight broken handle that is not level that is obliviously broken and chain now too long and blocking seal ---- how many minutes for ONE Woman to actually repair? ONE Woman, one super easy "DANCO Toilet Handle Replacement, Chrome, 8 inch, 1-Pack (80806)", three minutes later! Awh, no hitting lid, no running water, no hitting toilet lid, no headaches, looks great!Okay, any man can do this too, but just had to notate that was 3 men vs. 1 woman :)

My previous handle was splitting and breaking (all plastic.) I replaced it easily with this rod. It's metal and will unless it corrodes, resist breakage. In case you've never done a replacement, when your handle ceases to flush, or if the handle doesn't seem to work well, the arm on the flush handle may be broken (or off the chain connecting it to the flap.)Eventually with long use, these handles wear out.1. Open the lid and place it somewhere safe (they can break and replacement can be difficult if your toilet is out of production, almost assuredly.)2. The handle is connected to the tank by a fingertight nut. Unscrew this, remove the handle from the chain by the loop at the end and pull the handle arm unit out.3. Unscrew the nut from the new unit and put the handle in. Thread the nut onto the handle4. Attach the chain by the loop at the end through one of the holes; I usually use the last hole on the arm.5. Replace the lid. Test flush. Victory is yours! By the way, sometimes the flap valve wears out and that, too can be replaced. Don't be squeamish about putting your hand in the tank, that water is clean.
