Considering this bit was about 1/3 the cost of my next options I was a bit worried about it. I needed to run some conduit through my basement foundation and stucco. I also needed to go from inside out as I had a very select area between the framing that I could make work. So, I was very nervous about blowing out the stucco. I also could not flood the bit with water and had to use a limited about of water and a shopvac because the area is finished. I did go a bit slower than I wanted it to, but I was able to get it through without breaking a sweat, its just a slow process. The core came out easy, I just made sure to wash the debris once I was done (outside) and it fell right out. As you can see in the photos this bit did not break the finish (photo is both sides of the LMB)Will this last for 10 cuts, probably not, but if you’re cutting a couple of holes I think this will last no issues as long as its not abused. The best part is you can get a whole set of these bits for the price of one at the big box that have a name brand on them (and those have some bad reviews to boot!)

We core drill daily as part of our job and buy bits monthly, the upper part of the bit has a 2 part tread which we have not had from any of our other bits usually welded in this area, hole #2 the bit unthreaded internally and snapped, the thread piece that connected to our shaft arbour was still attached the second thread separated from the core and stripped leaving the core in the concrete, took sometime but we got out the core piece with pry bars and a bobcat and chain wrench to lift it. This piece should be welded as one and I believe the product would have been great as it cut into the concrete well.

Ok, this is a nice long bit that works well when used with jig that holds it in place or when you precut the start with a diamond bit. If you are trying to cut manually with no jib this bit will walk around without biting in. Precut with a dry diamond bit and it works like a champ.I had a thick slab with rebar in it and this cut the 10 inch slab with no problems. Just remember, it is NOT quick and if you are doing it by hand, be careful to keep the bit perpendicular or on the angle you require. I found a tendency to lean too much forward when using it and that changes the angle which is pretty much impossible to fix. So, take your time and use a jig if you can. Worth the money and setup besides being easier to complete.
