Supposed to be premium strings, does not have the tone or feel that Super Slinky’s from ErnieBall has! About 10.00 more a pack!

Difficult to evaluate new strings right away. A bit twangy and squeaky in sound, but with a little tweaking of the amp equalizer controls it was adjusted. The strings stay in tune even the B string no problem. Once the adjustables made I really like the funky, growling sound. I will give an update later after a few gigs for the 5 stars.

I bought the 5 string set for my Modulus Q5 SS. Scary bright and trebly sound, I get a “growl” every time I lift a finger up from a fret. I also hear exaggerated noises from everything I do on the neck, in addition to the notes I’m playing. I don’t rate them badly for that, because this kind of sound has a place in the bass world, and it’s exactly what some people are looking for. But they’re less than versatile, not your “all purpose” strings. I now have to think about whether to keep them or replace with something mellower, but be aware of what you’re getting with these.
