I have a first generation Ring doorbell camera and this metal cover fits it well. What I did not think of before I ordered the cover is that I have to remove the doorbell often to recharge the battery. That will mean removing the entire cover assembly to take off the cover and access the battery, which I charge inside. That is a great deterrent for thieves but not convenient for the homeowner. If there is a way to get the doorbell out with the cover on, that information is not provided with the item. In fact, the item is shipped with only the steel cover and wall screws; there are no instructions or contact information for the seller. This product may be most suitable for those whose cameras are hardwired.

We got this wireless doorbell cover for our Ring Doorbell. Construction it is definitely well built. It is a solid metal construction. Down side is that the screw holes are on the exterior of the bracket. What's more important is that this thing is way to big for the ring doorbell. Even if you center this on the device. It leaves gaps on each side. Someone could easily slip a tool in the sides and pry the cover off. It is easy to install unless you have siding and not a flat surface like we do. Did your doorbell is larger than a ring doorbell then this would keep it safe for a undetermined theft.
