Although I ultimately didn’t keep it because I needed it to extend beyond a large picture frame, I’m still looking for another place to have it installed. The item has a high-quality finish and a solid feel.

I ordered three items for a home renovation project. The moment I saw marker writing on one of the boxes, I had a bad feeling that something was wrong. Uh oh... As expected, when I opened it, I immediately realized it was a returned item with a lot of scratches. There were missing components and the product itself had quite a few scratches. I ordered a replacement, but since it would take almost a week, I decided to just order a new one (which takes two days) and cancel the replacement order. I will update my review again after installation.

RECOMMENDATION:Thumbs up: But be sure that the moderate brightness works for you. Also be sure to measure the width you need as this light is under 16” wide.THE GOOD:1. The fixture overall looks pretty good, especially in more traditional decors.2. The finish is listed at antique brass, but I think that it is actually closer to brushed brass. Looks very good though.3. You can dim the light using a standard TRIAC wall dimmer switch and that works well.4. There are two points at which you can adjust the hood: at the juncture of the arm to the mounting plate and again where the hood connects to the mounting arm. Pretty standard for these types of picture lights.THE BAD:1. The fixture is only medium to low brightness at 300 lumens and is also fairly inefficient since it pulls 7 watts.2. These types of cylinder-style picture lights tend to throw light in a lot of directions, including straight out at the viewer of the picture because of how they need to be mounted. As a result, they are not my favorite type of picture light. However, that does make them better for larger pictures.
